Final thoughts from my tech meet-up:
While libraries are coming a long way to meet the continuing diverse and ever changing needs of there patrons there is still a long way to come. Too many young people see the library as useless building where you need to be quiet and Google as the end all to every question. It was good to see how many college students use the libraries 3 branches to the point of filling all 80 computers and many of the study tables. While the main draw is the computer you have to think that the students also have there choice of 5 other computer labs. So there must be something about the library that keeps them coming back. Hopefully they will pass this on to the new freshmen coming in and the Library can continue to be technology forward instead of stagnent.
